Last Relaxer Update for the Year

Hi Ladies. I’m here with my last relaxer update for the year. Whoop! Whoop!! I prepared my hair prior to this washday like I always do by washing it a week before and moisturizing and sealing often. I relaxed my hair at exactly 20 weeks post relaxer. This relaxer session went smoothly and was better than the others read here and here. Here’s how my relaxer session went;

Now here’s the funny part. I wanted to do a roller set and used them on damp hair instead of wet hair. By the time I woke up in the morning the roller set was an epic fail. Lool!! I just laughed and put my hair into a bun.

See how full my hair is? I’m so in love.
I didn’t do a length check until 2 days later and here are the results below. I applied the Ors moisturizing lotion that came in the kit and my Organics Serum before flat ironing. If the moisturizing lotion comes in a bottle I may just buy one cos I love it.

As you can see the tip of my hair is grazing line 4 which means I gained an inch from my last relaxer update. My edges seem to be coming out but I still have work to do. My ends on the other hand are relaxed and look weak to me. I definitely have to do another trim cos I can’t stand my ends but trimming will take me back to line 3 (sorry for the blurry pictures and faint lines on my length check t-shirt). I don’t mind the length though, my hair is healthier and fuller and I’m super duper happy.

Pro’s of this texlax Session
I wanted to have even textures throughout my head so I took my time to smooth the relaxer with my fingers hence the 20 minutes instead my usual 10 – 15 minutes. I’ve realized from my past relaxer sessions that my texlaxed hair only stays soft and manageable for about 3 weeks and then I begin to experience shedding. I traced it back to under processing my hair. Hopefully this time I did it right?

Cons
No con’s for this washday. *clap for me*.

PS: The blog will be One this month and I’ve been wondering what to do to celebrate this special
event. I have a few ideas and hopefully I’ll be able to bring them to fruition. I’ll still appreciate more ideas though just drop a comment below.

Any recent texlaxed or relaxed sessions ladies?

Have a blessed week ahead…
